The Elementary Battle of the Books (EBOB) is an exciting literary competition available for 4th- 6th grade students.  The purpose of EBOB is to encourage and promote reading.  It is a motivational reading and comprehension program designed to expose students to quality literature with a variety of literary styles and differing viewpoints.   Interested students read books from a state chosen list of 15 titles, and try to retain as many facts as possible.  Students then attend practice sessions after school to work as a team and become knowledgeable about the details in the books. In quiz-bowl style, students practice questions to learn valuable comprehension skills, deductive reasoning, and team building skills.  

Student council is a group of 3-6 grade students who gather to develop and implement ways to improve and strengthen the school and the community. What does Student Council do? They support students and give them a voice in the school, plan and organize community involvement projects, and fundraise money for things that support the school and students. This group of students will meet after school until 4:15 once a month. A letter is going home for your parents to complete and return by October 6th if you are interested and can stay once a month after school.
