Clubs & Activities

Our students are often thirsty for more. Just because the final bell rings doesn’t mean we are finished. Extracurricular programming provides exciting opportunities for our students to try new activities or delve deeper into areas of passion. At Claremont, each student participates in a club of their choice during our Monthly Club Time. We also have several after-school activities for students, including Elementary Battle of the Books (EBOB), Student Council, and Archery.

Get involved. Have fun!

Students participate in, lead, and even create school clubs based on their unique interests and talents. Our ever-changing list of clubs and activities across campus offers students abundant opportunities to explore their passions and discover new ones, and to connect and have fun with peers and faculty who share similar interests.

CLUBS

  • A group of people, including children and adults, pose together wearing matching black t-shirts.

The Elementary Battle of the Books (EBOB) is an exciting literary competition available for 4th- 6th grade students.  The purpose of EBOB is to encourage and promote reading.  It is a motivational reading and comprehension program designed to expose students to quality literature with a variety of literary styles and differing viewpoints.   Interested students read books from a state chosen list of 15 titles, and try to retain as many facts as possible.  Students then attend practice sessions after school to work as a team and become knowledgeable about the details in the books. In quiz-bowl style, students practice questions to learn valuable comprehension skills, deductive reasoning, and team building skills.

  • Student council is a group of 3-6 grade students who gather to develop and implement ways to improve and strengthen the school and the community. What does Student Council do? They support students and give them a voice in the school, plan and organize community involvement projects, and fundraise money for things that support the school and students. This group of students will meet after school until 4:15 once a month. A letter is going home for your parents to complete and return by October 6th if you are interested and can stay once a month after school.
